Theme Tea: Needle Arts at Higinbotham’s Tea Room – April 6

April 6 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Bring your needle arts projects (knitting, crocheting, needlepoint, counted cross stitch, etc.) to show members or to seek advice.

If you are not into needle arts (like Donna!) feel free to attend. You are welcome to stay and watch or leave after the tea.

The five-course tea is served in the dining room, library, and sunroom. The food is prepared daily and all homemade.

Higinbotham’s is one of the oldest homes in New Oxford and winner of the 2009 Historic Gettysburg Historical Preservation Award. The 1823 Federal-style building remains largely unchanged from its original form.

Built by banker John N. Hersh, the beautiful home has ceilings that rise to 12 feet, magnificent windows, working fireplaces, and a state-certified kitchen.

Mobility: There is one step onto the porch and another slightly taller step into the tea room.
*Cost: $36, club members; $41, guests/non-members
Reservation deadline: March 28

When making your reservation, please include your preferred date.

*Please include tea and date in memo section of your check.
