Forney House Tearoom and B&B — Thurs., Sept. 24

The Forney House is one of the Club’s favorite tearooms. Unfortunately, it is for sale, so this may be the last chance you have to visit this tearoom. Diane’s food is always delicious and she offers a wide variety of teas. Built in 1905, this restored house is listed in the Historic Register of Historic places.
Perhaps one of our members is interested in buying the property and continuing the practice of serving afternoon tea. The Club would be happy to support you by coming to tea.
Parking: There is parking on the street and a small parking lot behind tearoom.
Mobility: There are eight steps up to the porch and one step into the tearoom, but no steps in the tearoom. For those unable to do steps, there is an electric chair up to the porch. Notify the tearoom staff when you arrive for assistance.
Cost: $46, club members; $51, guests/non-members
Reservation deadline: Sept. 14
Please include tea name AND date in memo section of your check.
TEA ETIQUETTE:
Please arrive at the tea room no earlier than 15 minutes before the time of the tea (or as noted in the tea description). This gives servers and the kitchen the chance to make the room as lovely and ready as possible. If you get to the tea more than 15 minutes before our scheduled seating, go shopping or walking or bring a book, knitting, or any other ways to pass the time in your car.
